Carolina García Cataño will speak about her current work with refugees in Berlin and Lage.
Carolina García Cataño is one of the founders of Dabne a free software women’s cooperative focused on bringing socially useful, free software solutions to the third sector. Since 2001 she has been actively involved in the Spanish free software community where she has participated in numerous hacklabs and hackmeetings. In 2011 due to the global protests such as Occupy she became involved in tomalaplaza, takethesquare and the 15M movements in Spain, where she facilitated the international tech coordination for each group. In Berlin, she is engaged with refugee support groups and takes part in a decentrelized network of supporters, which visit Lage.
