G Beaudin

Presentation

Taking the 1887 American slogan “Kill the Indian, save the man” as his starting point, G will discuss how colonial policies and the relocation of indigenous people had direct impact across five generations of his family. Drawing on autobiographical and personal family histories, his presentation will focus on how his project WALK! examines the impact of such forced relocation on his Cherokee family history and how this story has been replicated across many other cultures and people.
