John Lynch

John will be discuss his experience in creating large scale public works, which support how people navigate and use city spaces. Drawing on his practical experiences, John will illustrate how approaches, which place people at the centre of the service can lead to organisational behavior changes in how we deliver city services.

Biography

John Lynch is an Interaction & Service Designer with extensive experience in designing for public spaces. From city streets to museum installations he has created award-winning experiences including the Irish Pavilion during Expo 2010 in Shanghai. In 2011, John studied at CIID where his developed novel service solutions for Copenhagen Airport. As a designer, he strives to create functional designers which empower people and believes the best way to do this is to truly understand the human factors at the centre of a system, along with the technologies available to match those needs. He currently lives in Copenhagen where he teachers and consults for CIID.
